When to Hire a Tutor?

Are your child's grades dropping? Is he or she reluctant to go to school? If so it may be time to hire a tutor!

The top 4 signs your child may be in trouble!

1. Child's Grade has Dropped
This is a sure sign that something is happening and needs immediate attention. Don't wait until the report card comes out or for another parent teacher conference, be proactive and seek help immediately. The longer you wait will impact the time it will take to get your child on track.

2. Lack of Confidence
Low self-esteem in a subject area produces negative academic outcomes. A lack of confidence will decrease a child's desire to take risk, to focus, and eagerness to learn. The student will not participate in class, dread going to school, and potentially produce negative classroom behavior. The result of low confidence is endless and it should never be ignored. Getting your child help will nurture and restore self-esteem, resulting in passing grades and peace of mind for both parent and child.

3. Child Shows Concern
What a demonstration of maturity for a child to ask for help. If a child does this why hesitate to respond. A student can very well recognize if they are fighting an uphill battle. So don't procrastinate, everyone needs help sometimes.

4. The Beginning
There may be a subject that has challenged them in the past. Instead of waiting for them to show signs of struggle get a tutor at the beginning of the school year to combat the odds of falling behind. The tutor can work along with the teacher and the child will have the one on one help needed to stay ahead.

If your child fits into one of these categories, go online and find a tutor. There are many online tutors, so don't limit your search to a face to face tutoring session, let technology work for you.
